Copying block templates

Having your own organization in Canvas provides the additional benefit of a dedicated workbench for blocks, templates, and functions. This private workbench is not visible outside the organization, and blocks, functions, and workflow templates created there will never be shared with anyone outside the organization.

When working inside the workbench, it's important to note that you can still access blocks, functions, and templates from the CMA shared workbench. The switch to toggle between the two is located in the top left corner:

To simplify the process of developing your own blocks, functions, or templates, we have added the ability to duplicate them from the CMA workbench.

Pressing the button will launch a wizard that allows you to make changes to the block before duplicating it. After pressing "Save", a local copy will appear in your organization's workbench.

You can now safely work with the copy.

Important to note:

The copy will not be immediately available in workflows. It needs to be published by clicking the "Publish" button. The copy will not receive any updates from the original block, function, or template.
